SDCC 2018: Hasbro Marvel Legends Toybiz Tribute Wave 2 Revealed During Hasbro SDCC Panel

on

In theory I like the tribute wave of figures. The packaging looks great and look great in an in package display. It is a little hard to get past the fact they are mostly just rehashes of figures I already have. Honestly from the first wave I only bought the Black Widow figure because it was the only one I didn’t have already. This time around I will be getting more of them because at least two of them are something unique. Check the images below.

This is basically the 2nd Wamart Exclusive Black Panther without the vibranium markings. The hands look like the Prowler hands. They should have kept the originals.

Oh boy. Look, I like Scarlet Spider. I tried to make this costume as a kid and I already have this figure. Other than the blond Peter head there isn’t much to see here.

This is an improvement over the previous version. It always seemed to be a bit of a kit bash with the Winter Soldier left arm. This is a buy.

Now this is what I want more of in this line! A new deco that has a retro feel and the Ultron head is a nice touch. This is a must buy. This will be the second most popular figure behind the Wasp figure.

The Wasp & Antman figures were revealed on day one but I am posting them as well so we can see the whole wave together

The Wasp figure has a deco from a rare Marvel Legends variant figure on the most recent Wasp body mold with a new head sculpt.

This Ant-man figure uses the same mold as the Walgreens exclusive Black Ant figure.

The wave has some misses, but it has enough hits to get excited about it. I really want Wasp and the Antman will be a default buy because I can’t get one without the other. Vision. That deco is gorgeous. I’m gonna be so broke.
