The newest addition to the Energon Universe, M.AS.K., was released today, and in celebration Skybound, alongside the regular releases and variants, they are releasing blind bag variants.

There are three different comics you could possibly get in the bags, only one of which is actually M.A.S.K.#1. Normally, I wouldn’t buy a blind bag but I did this time and I got the Origins variant.

This variant is a collection of the first canonical appearances of the some the main M.A.S.K. characters, Matt Tracker and Miles Mayhem. These appearances come from the G.I. Joe and Transformers.

The second blind is an advance release of M.A.S.K#2. This allows lucky fans to read the second issue a month early and with exclusive variant cover.

The third, and most exciting variant, is the first issue of ROM#1! This is a single issue that reunites Void Rivals creative team Robert Kirkman and Lorenzo De Felici.

The blind bags run a couple dollars more than the standard price of $3.99. If you get the ROM#1 issue this is pretty decent. If you get one of the others, it is not as great a deal. Origins reprints pages you probably already have and Issue two would be on sale in a month for the standard price.
