Hasbro is currently running their Marvel 85th Anniversary line of figures. Most of what they have revealed has not been exciting to me. I do want Superior Spider-Man and Skaar, but for the most part nothing has been all that exciting.
This Venom, while a nice looking figure, isn’t anything new. Well, that’s not 100% true. The forearms look to be newly sculpted, which is nice. However, my primary interest in this figure lies in the fact that it is Venom on a retro card. I love a good retro card. I wish we could get more retro card releases. I want more X-men, Fantastic Four, Ironman, Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, Avengers and any other team that had a line in the Toy Biz days.
Venom will be available later this Summer for $24 .99 exclusively at Walmart. This will be the 3rd Walmart exclusive retro Spider-Man figure, following Lizard and Kraven. Keep an eye out for more info regarding the exact date preorders will be active. Most likely this will be another Walmart Collector-con release.
