I’m not much of a Shattered Glass fan. I like the classic versions of the Transformers teams that I grew up watching in the 80’s. This new Shattered Glass Jetfire though will have me rethinking my stance on them.
In most canon, Jetfire starts off sympathetic to the Decepticon cause. In the original G1 series he was a friend to Starscream on Cybertron. Well, Skyfire was. I have always viewed them as being the same guy. In the recent Siege Trilogy on Netflix, he begins as a loyal Decepticon. I say all this to say that the color swap is very fitting for him.
Like original, this figure features the flippable faction symbol. But, instead of a Decepticon insignia on the reverse, their is just another Autobot symbol, sans the white border.
Everything else about this figure is the same, just in the Shattered Glass colors.
Transformers: Generations Shattered Glass Commander Class Jetfire

The Shattered Glass Collection Commander JETFIRE figure stands at 11 inches tall, converts from robot to Cybertronian Jet mode in 36 steps, and comes with 12 armor and weapon accessories and 6 blast effects. This JETFIRE figure’s deco is inspired by the Shattered Glass universe, complete with a purple AUTOBOT logo that rotates to reveal a red DECEPTICON logo. With conflicted loyalties to the DECEPTICON cause, JETFIRE defected, joining the AUTOBOTS and their quest for universal conquest.
The figure also comes with a brand-new comic book, in IDW’s Shattered Glass Issue #5, Jetfire’s loyalties are tested when Goldbug asks him to commit the ultimate sacrifice in the name of the Autobots. His decision results in a Cybertron-shattering event and an epic conclusion to “Shards.”
