The last series of minimates to get me excited was the Avengers of 1000000BC set. It was a nice set that reflected a cool new wrinkle in Marvel Comics history. It showed that the more things change, the more they stay the same. The story also gave an explanation for why Earth produces so many powered individuals.
Diamond Select now has a new set featuring Venom and Venomized Marvel heroes. Anything with Venom is usually pretty popular and these look to continue that trend. These two two-packs are based on Marvel’s Spider-Man: Maximum Venom.
These are already hitting Walgreens now. I just saw one of the two-packs on the peg a day or so ago.
I really like these. I am going to wait, however, to see if Walgreens does a BOGO on these.
Diamond Select also sent over images of the next entries in the Marvel Animated minimates line that I believe is exclusive to Walgreens.
While I did not see any of these on my last trip to Walgreens, Diamond Select says these are already released. Be on the lookout.
