Today Hasbro’s G.I. Joe team had their livestream showing new Joe products for the 40th anniversary of the line. In addition to the figures, a new card/figurine game was shown. Preorders for that go live in April with an expected release of October.
As far as Classified Series, 8 new figures were revealed. They were just the renders that they said they would be revealing during streams previously. The final deco on these may change and will definitely look different. The current preorders are emblematic of that.
I haven’t bought any of the previous crossover Transformers figures. They just didn’t have any appeal for me. This Megatron though? Preordered. It looks like they took the base Siege mold and reworked it into a new alt mode. Love it.
The new Classified figures look so good! The amount of accessories and detail put into each figure really shows how much the team cares about this brand. If you are collecting this line, I don’t see why you would pass on these.
For those who missed out on the Vipers the first and second time they were released, Hasbro is giving you one more opportunity to grab these figures. In this deco anyway. This time around we’re getting effects pieces to sweeten the deal.
All in all, this is a great lineup. They also showed off some Super7 ReAction figures and O-ring figures, but I have zero interest in those. The Super7 figures look cool on card, but the lack of articulation plus the high price point equals they get none of my money. The Classified Series figures are all up for preorder now on Entertainment Earth, HasbroPulse, BigBadToyStore and Dorksidetoys.
