Marvel Monday: Hasbro Reveals New Infinity Saga Surtur

Last week Hasbro announced several new releases in their Infinity Saga line that, honestly, I didn’t care to cover. They revealed two new two-packs with only two of the four characters revealed being new to the line. These were Happy Hogan and Endgame Captain Marvel. They also revealed another Ironman figure.

Of the two sets, the one most interesting is the set with Pepper and Captain Marvel. The updated version of Pepper comes with two additional head sculpts and new accessories based on scenes from Endgame. Most of the time when the movie figures come out before the movies, they are based on early renders and art assets that may not make it into the final film. This new figure reflects how she looked in the movie much better.

Captain Marvel did not receive figure in either of the Endgame waves, so i’m sure collectors will be happy to get their hands on this updated version of Carol. Her only accessory is the inclusion of the Nano-tech Gauntlet with the stones.

If you missed out on Pepper the first time around and want to get the new Captain Marvel, this is the set for you. This set is exclusive to Amazon.

I’m not sure who was clamoring for a Happy Hogan figure, but there you go. This figure will work well in your Ironman and Spiderman display setups. They missed an opportunity, though, to put in a mullet, goatee alternate head from the Ironman 3 flashback scene.

The Mark 21 is not all that impressive and looks to be an armor we have received before but, in a bronzy color. I suppose if you want another Ironman armor to add to your shelf this is an option. This set is exclusive to Target. It’s up for preorder, but I wouldn’t bother. This will probably sit on shelves a while. Look for this to clearance.

This figure, Mark 3, is the first armor Tony uses to fight the Ten Rings and Iron Monger. For the most part this offering is boring, but the tank missile accessories are intriguing. Up for preorder now on most Fan Channel sites like Entertainment Earth and Hasbro Pulse.

That’s it for last weeks news. This week Hasbro unveiled their new and massive Surtur figure as seen in Thor Ragnarok.

I typically don’t get excited for MCU figures, but this is something that is super unique. Surtur is a mega deluxe figure measuring around 13 inches. This is not really to scale with how he was at the end of the movie, but more so how he was when Thor confronted him early on in the movie.

This looks so good! I can’t believe Hasbro made us wait this long to get this figure. Actually, I’m surprised that there we no waves dedicated to any of the Thor movies. Hasbro, if you’re reading this, we need some Thor themed waves. There are so many characters that need to be made. Heck, we need more Thor figures period. He has had quite a few looks over the last decade that have not been made, or were exclusive to an SDCC set.

Surtur is now up for preorder everywhere you buy Legends.
