SDCC is always awesome because of the excellent collectibles that are made available exclusively for the convention. But what do you do if you can’t make it? For the most popular items, sometimes they will be made available online, but it’s hit or miss if you’ll get it. For example, last years Thor set which included Bor, Odinson(Thor), Thor(Jane Foster), Ulik and Malekith. I tried to stay up late to get it, but I fell asleep and it sold out. 

Luckily, sometimes Hasbro throws collectors who aren’t able to make it to the show a bone and they rerelease one or two of the figures. From the the Thor set Jane Foster was released in the Thor Ragnarok wave of figures. Hasbro decided to give us another from that set in the second Avengers Infinity War wave of figures with Malekith.

Malekith was one of the figures I was most excited about when I saw the SDCC set. Other than Radioactive Man, I didn’t have any villains from Thor’s Rogue Gallery. Well, I have movie Hela, but i don’t really count movie figures or give them much space on my shelves. 

Malekith features a slightly different deco from the SDCC version which I think was done to appease the people who bought the set. His only accessory is a sword. I think they could have given him some of the effects pieces they have lying around. He is a wizard.

Overall this a great figure. Since I have run out of shelf space on my villains i can’t put him there, but i started mounting them on the wall in the packaging at it would will look great with the wave 1 comic figures as well.
