SDCC 2018: Hasbro Marvel Legends Black Panther Wave 2 Revealed

SDCC is in full swing and that means glorious reveals of upcoming products for the coming year. Hasbro will be returning to the world of Wakanda with a second wave of figures based on the popular film. I honestly thought the first wave was a one-off and that we wouldn’t see anything else for a couple of years until the next film. I guess the first wave did well enough to warrant a second so we are getting blessed a second time. But who could they possibly include in the wave? I’m glad you asked. Hasbro has sent over images of the confirmed figures in the wave. Check them out here.

We are getting another Black Panther figure with another new head sculpt. I believe this reflects how he looked in Avengers: Infinity War. Hopefully, with the variants Hasbro has been putting out like Psylocke and Mysterio, we will get a variant with stored kinetic energy.
Ayo has been around since Civil War. No one will forget her awesome line to Black Widow, “Move. Or you will be moved”. This figure has her signature no nonsense look and I love it. Hopefully there will be alternate head sculpts so we can army build a Dora Milaje set.
Klaue was a cool villain in Black Panther. It sucks he died because he has always been a major nemesis for Black Panther. I wonder though if it will come with a swappable arm because I can see that thing getting easily warped or damaged.
Finally we have T’chaka. This figure looks awesome. The Black Panther suit with the wrap just looks gorgeous. I may have to buy two of these.

No word on when these will be released but I would expect a release close to Christmas or maybe the New Year. There is a rumored Shuri figure possibly coming in this wave. That would make five MCU figures. Hopefully they will round it out with an M’baku figure.

Apparently we will be getting an M’baku figure figure as well as a stored energy variant. We will also be a Killmonger in his tactical suit and tribal mask.
