When I stopped by Wal-Mart yesterday, I went in with the objective of purchasing the “new” Thanos figure with Infinity Gauntlet. I did not find it, but I did not leave empty handed. I picked up three figures; Marvel Legends Songbird, Titans Return Slugslinger and Marvel Legends Taskmaster.

I’ve been wanting a classic Taskmaster since I started collecting Legends during the Hit Monkey wave. Is this the Taskmaster that we all want? It’s definitely better than the previous Udon Taskmaster figure. But it’s not perfect.

The only real gripe have is with the face sculpt. I don’t know why but it seems a bit too wide.The skull face is actually a mask so technically it makes sense for it to be slightly larger, it just looks weird.

His accessories are all fine but I would have liked to see him come with a bow. It would have made more sense than a gun and would look better in a display if you put him against Hawkeye to better show off his ability to copy his enemies moves.

This figure fills a hole on my shelf and has effectively pushedcthe Udon Taskmaster into the drawer of figures that I don’t display and let my kids play with. The new Avengers Infinity War wave is hitting stores now.
