I have horrible luck when it comes to getting SDCC Marvel Legends. Usually the best I can hope for is that the figures I want will be listed for a reasonable price on eBay. Lately though, Hasbro has been giving those of us unable to make it to SDCC a chance at some of those figures. Previously we’ve seen Dormammu, Doctor Voodoo and Jane Foster Thor get mass releases. Now we are getting Black Bolt.

This Black Bolt figure was first released as a part of the Thanos Imperative set from a few years back. The set itself was okay, but the Black Bolt figure was pretty cool.  Unfortunately, paying 40 plus for the figure was more than I was willing to fork over.

Black Bolt uses the Bucky Cap mold that we have seen used so many times. It not a bad mold, I just wonder if it is getting stale. Either way, it makes excellent use of the mold and as usual has great articulation.

Unlike the original Black Bolt, this one includes an accessory. Whaaat?! Yep, Black Bolt comes with a powered alternate head so you can display him destroying all in his path with a yell. It has a cool bubble power effect on the forehead that is made in a soft plastic. This gives me hope for future Cyclops figures.

Now that we have the king and queen of the Inhumans, I really hope soon we can get a wave of Inhuman characters. Or, alternatively, pepper some of them in other waves. Black Bolt is a cool figure and I am glad I was able to finally get one. This Black Panther wave of figures is in stores and online now.
