The Secret Of Megatron Revealed! New Arc Begins in Transformers #31

Back in issue 19 of Transformers, we got a little background on how Megatron obtained his gun mode. We got to see how what he went through shaped him and gave him the opposite of the Matrix of Leadership. The issue seemed to give us a good idea of why he had this power, but now there seems to be another layer to the story.

In issue #31, we will be have another secret of Megatron revealed, with the issue promising to be the biggest Megatron story ever.

Today Skybound and Image Comics, in collaboration with leading games, IP and toy company Hasbro, shared a first look at TRANSFORMERS #31, the next chapter of the two-time Eisner Award winning series from the powerhouse creative team of writer Robert Kirkman (Invincible, Void Rivals), artist Ludo Lullabi (Ghost Pepper), colorist Mike Spicer (Stillwater), and letterer Rus Wooton (Void Rivals). TRANSFORMERS #31 is a standalone, unforgettable Megatron story that kicks off the new story arc of the tentpole Energon Universe series, available on shelves in comic book shops April 8, 2026. The secret of Megatron revealed! Megatron has a vision that will change the course of his life…and no one in the Energon Universe is safe. In addition to the main cover by artist David Nakayama, the lineup of variant covers for TRANSFORMERS #31 includes an open-to-order cover B by Daniel Warren Johnson & Mike Spicer, a 1:10 incentive variant by Pye Parr, a 1:25 incentive variant by Manabu Yashiro, a 1:50 incentive variant by Ludo Lullabi, a 1:100 incentive foil variant by Patricia Martín, and a blank sketch cover.  TRANSFORMERS is the cornerstone of the Energon Universe, the crown jewel of the historic collaboration between Hasbro and Skybound, who has introduced a brand-new era of the TRANSFORMER and G.I.
