With a character like Mephisto, there aren’t many chances to get him out to retail. I mean, the guy is basically the devil. But for most Marvel Legends fans he is a character that has been long missing from collections. When the Engine of Vengance campaign was going on there were a lot of people upset that it was locked behind a tier wall. It in essence, if not actually, made it a 400 dollar figure. With the current preorder model the Marvel Legends team has implemented to get certain characters out, a novel opportunity came to get this character in the hands of fans. And so, Mephisto!

To be honest, since the Engine of Vengeance campaign i haven’t given Mephisto much thought. I really wanted Madelyne Pryor more. As an X-men fan, she is more essential to my collection. But seeing these promo images, he is a must buy.

The figure itself would have been good enough, but they went and gave him a throne. The details look great. It will really make your display pop more than just having it stand static on your shelf.
