I really appreciated the first animated Spider-verse movie. It’s distinctive style and great characters really made it a classic film deserving of all the praise it received. The first wave of figures for the movie were okay. I didn’t feel a need to add them to my collection I think I only bought the Hand Ninja from the wave. And while the second wave doesn’t look bad, I don’t think I’ll be adding any to my collection.

With exception of Spider-punk and maybe The Spot, I don’t care for these stylized Legends figures. They don’t look bad and definitely fit the aesthetic of the movie, I just think the release style is weird. It’s a full wave with no BAF. On retro card style packaging.

There is also a deluxe release accompanying this wave. Cyborg Spider-Woman. This looks cool. I may get this.

At this point, I’m looking forward to the movie more than the figures. Who knows though? Once I’ve seen the movie it may change. For now, I think I’ll wait for a sale. These are up for preorder now and if want to see a hands-on review, MCUCollector has videos up now on YouTube.
