Yesterday afternoon, the Hasbro Marvel Legends team had their panel showing off upcoming products. Hasbro has sent out the official images of most of what was revealed.
The most exciting of these reveals are the Life Foundation Symbiotes. With the impending release of these, that team will finally be complete. Getting a new Sentry figure is cool, but I don’t know how many people were clamoring for a new version. The award for most unexpected figure goes to Razorback. I’m a lifelong Marvel fan and I would have never thought we would get a character like this.
According to the panel, the Spider-Man Retro figures have been super popular, so it’s no surprise another figure is being released. I think I like this version better than the Far From Home wave figure.
I’ve been hopeful that they would return to the X-men Retro figures, but I wanted a new wave or at the very least a new character. This Beast release feels very “Malibu Stacy”. I’m still getting it, I’m just saying that I want a full new wave.
Surprisingly we are getting a new Disney+ Loki figure, well before the second season. But the fact that it is coming isn’t all that noteworthy. The fact that it is coming in a set with the Tesseract is. “Do I want to buy a Tesseract just to get this figure”? is a question many collectors are going to have to decide.
Also revealed were upcoming sets for Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends and a Heralds of Galactus set with a reissue of the old Terrax BAF and a brand new figure of the Fallen One. I already have Terrax and this isn’t going to be in a window box, so I’m on the fence. Also, this year’s HasLab has something to do with Ghost Rider. Robbie Reyes and a He’ll Charger? Maybe Danny Ketch and his very 90’s motorcycle design? Maybe both? We’ll find out soon, so get your money right.
