Getting into collecting when I did, I missed out on some incarnations of some characters. Luckily, Hasbro has been revisiting older figures and giving them modern updates. Maestro was previously released during the Toy Biz era of Legends. This new deluxe version looks to be leagues better with modern tooling.
I have to confess, I don’t have a six inch scale Hulk. I have the recent Target exclusive Red Hulk. I have the 17.5 inch Hulk. But I have never purchased a Banner Hulk in any form. This future incarnation of Hulk will be a great first.
This figure looks to be a retooling of the Red Hulk, with new forearms and a new head. This mold is pretty good so I’m fine with that. That head sculpt is dang good.
The only included accessories are a pair of open hands. At the price point of 30 bucks, this is understandable. A more animated screaming head would have been nice, but seeing as how I will be leaving him in package, I can overlook that.
Maestro is now up for preorder online at Hasbro Pulse, Dorksidetoys and Entertainment Earth among others.
Also, this past Friday Hasbro revealed new retro styled 3.75″ figures. They look nice carded, but I don’t think I’ll be getting these. They look nice though.
These are unfortunately exclusive to Target for 9.99 each, so…good luck?
