G.I. Joe has returned and despite being frustrating to find, they are really great figures with lots of accessories and articulation. During PulseCon, Hasbro revealed more figures coming to the line as well as three “new” figures in the retro line.
I saw these in store just this past Thursday and bought the Scarlett figure. I never had Joes when I was a kid, so this is my first 3.75″ G.I. Joe figure.
Good news for anyone who has been scouring Target stores to find the Cobra Island Cobra Trooper figure! Hasbro is releasing it for mass retail, rebranding it Cobra Infantry. It will have fewer accessories, but it should be easier to obtain. I got in a preorder for one on Dorksidetoys last night along with Zartan.
Zartan looks cool, but i wish they gave him more than one swappable face. He’s a master of disguise!
So those figures should be fairly easy to obtain. The next two, well…good luck.
The Cobra Viper looks awesome. I only want to get one, but that depends entirely on Target sticking to one per customer and being able to get to the store early enough. I almost had a Cobra Trooper a few weeks ago, but I missed it by minutes. Hopefully these will be better stocked, but seeing as how the app sold out almost immediately after they were put up, I don’t have much hope.
Being in the Austin area, there are a lot of Targets to try and get these figures. It’s just annoying that cool figures like Firefly are exclusive to them.
This deluxe version of Cobra Commander is up for preorder now on Hasbro Pulse, but the preorder ends at 12. If you want to get this figure head to Hasbro Pulse now. Heads up, it will not ship until next March.
