New official photos have been revealed today of the upcoming Masterpiece Hot Rodimus figure. This release looks to be a straight forward reuse of the MP-28 Hot Rod. The only difference between this one and that one is the inclusion of a Targetmaster figure. The same Targetmaster that was released years ago with the original Hasbro Rodimus Prime.

I…don’t know why they bothered. I suppose it is good for those who did not get the original and want the Targetmaster. The completist will no doubt get this one, but everyone who has the original will not see much reason to buy this one. Well we can look at the pictures and enjoy them anyway.
